EAGAN, MN – (NewsDakota.Com) – After a disappointing 2018 season, the Vikings and its fan base are expecting a much better product in 2019.

Offensive Coordinator Kevin Stefanski had the interim taken off of his job title in the off season.  This is a big season for him, and the team as they want to get back to the playoffs in 2019.

The first test of this new look offense will be this Friday night against the New Orleans Saints in the first preseason game for both squads.

One of the biggest areas of needed improvement is the offensive line… Stefanski says so far so good…

Another change to this year’s offense is the addition of Gary Kubiak.  Kubiak, former Head Coach of the Texans, and Broncos is now the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Advisor.

This is the second year for Quarterback Kirk Cousins in the Vikings system.  Despite criticism, Cousins put up very good numbers last year throwing for over 4200 yards and 30 TDs.

The Vikings are at approximately the half way point of training camp 2019.

Regular season play opens on Sunday September 8th when the Vikings host the Atlanta Falcons.
