JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fresh off of her trip from the national competition in Las Vegas, Jana Vetter, Miss SD Earth, is taking no days off.

Vetter received the Miss SD Earth title when she was nominated for the competition. Originally from Harvey, she represented at the national competition over the summer.

While she didn’t win, she is already setting her sites on a new venture; Miss Red River Valley 2020.

Vetter says she’s planning one final event this month before handing over her Miss SD Earth crown. It’ll be an adoption day in partner with the James River Humane Society.

Vetter says the adoption day will be held at Aaron’s in Jamestown on Friday, September 13th from 1 to 3 PM. She says they’ll have representatives from the James River Humane Society there as well as an animal for those who may be interested in adoption.

There will be chili dogs served with all proceeds going towards the Humane Society. If you want more information on Miss SD Earth, you’re encouraged to visit her Facebook page here.
