Thoughts:
We used the doubles in the Red River match  for a tune-up for the regional tournament.  That match paid off as both of our doubles teams pulled out victories in the play-in match sending us to the regional tournament on Thursday.  We are officially the #7 seed and will take on the #2 GFR Knights at 10am on Thursday for the team competition.
On Saturday, I was able to watch several of the JV matches.  As a JV, we continue to grow at a fast pace.  Max is using more topspin.  Gavin is stepping into shots and just playing.  Miles and Emmett continued to figure out how to set up points and win point.  Alex is becoming more consistent.  Jayden is figuring out how to play in the moment.  Excellent job JV!
On Monday, we had our play-in match at Courts Plus in Fargo due to the rain.  Wahpeton is very much improved over previous seasons.  They put a scare into us as it took a tiebreak and a 6-4 second set at #1 singles to win.  At #1 doubles, we started slow, but finished very well.  Kai and Seth played like a team today and won eight out of the last nine games to take the match.  Bennett and Derek played some very solid tennis today.  They just played hard with smart shot selections along with very solid net play!  Austin lost a tough match going 5-7, 5-7 and Collin came back in the first set to then ultimately lose that set and then the match.
When we created the line-up, we knew that we could win as a team.  Wahpeton went strong singles, so we swept the doubles and won with Blake at #1.  If they would have gone strong doubles, we would have hit them hard in singles.  We had a great line-up and the kids executed.  Nice job Valley!
Next action is Thursday at Regionals.  Here we go!
