JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball team is in sole possession of first place in the WDA after a 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17) win over Bismarck on Thursday night at Jerry Meyer Arena. Albeit, the lead is only a half game over Century, who comes to Jamestown on October 15th for a two-point match.

The Demons won the first meeting back on September 10th, controlling the pace most of the night even after dropping the first two sets. This time it was Jamestown who controlled the match. BHS won the opener, but the Jays jumped out 8-1 in set two and were never really threatened again.

Ella Roaldson lead the way with 15 kills in a match that Jamestown dominated the net like few Jays’ teams before them.

They are now 9-1 in the West and Century sits at 8-1. Both Mandan and Bismarck still remain just behind with two losses each.

Jamestown will host Minot on Thursday night.
