JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown showed strong taxable sales in manufacturing, wholesale, and retail trade in the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Recent numbers released by the City of Jamestown and distributed by the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation. Grand totals of taxable sales for 2019 were $66,595,643, up about 3.83% from the 2018 2nd Quarter.
Manufacturing was up 36.15% from 2018 at $2,655,510, Wholesale Trade was up 23.10% at $8.078,685, and Retail Trade was up 5.84% at $37,164,753..
Professional, Scientific, Tech, and Management Service was down 21.54%, making just $849,430 compared to $1,071,203 in 2018.
Statistics are not reportable unless at least five businesses are included in the industry group. This includes Arts, Entertainment & Recreation, Information Industries, and Transportation and Warehousing.
