BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The regular deer season is starting to wind down, but hunters are still reminded to keep following the rules and regulations.

Game & Fish Wildlife Outreach Biologist Doug Leier says with crops still on the field, there have been calls and questions regarding the ability to hunt from the combine.

Leier says as another reminder, tag your deer immediately after it’s been harvested.

Leier says safety is also still important and should remain the utmost priority. He says hunters should also be mindful of “buck fever” as the days dwindle down.

In other wildlife news, Leier says upland game reports coming in are better now than they were a month ago. He also encouraged the winter anglers to give the ice a little more time before venturing out.

You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:35 AM on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM.
