Marjorie Limesand, 96, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Marion, ND, passed away Wednesday morning, November 27, 2019 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Marjorie was born April 10, 1923, at St. Paul, MN, the daughter of George E. and Susan (McNeil) Spangler. She attended school in Lippert Township, Stutsman County and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1940, and then attended one year of business college. Marjorie worked at Agriculture Adjustment Agency in Jamestown for five years. She married Norman Limesand on April 27, 1947. They made their home on a farm near Marion for many years where she was an active 4-H leader and a member of Grace Methodist Church and Women’s Circle. She was also a member of the Birthday Club, the Montpelier Senior Club, and the Red Hat Club. Marjorie was known for her baking, especially buns, making pickles, divinity and fudge. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, crocheting, quilting, and sewing.

In 2007, Marjorie moved to Jamestown and lived at the Meadows and attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and Women’s Circle. She moved to Ave Maria Village in October 2014.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Wesley (Pat) Limesand, Valley City, ND, Milton (Joyce) Limesand, Marion, ND, Lynette (Terry) Nelson, Moorhead, MN, Sharon (David) Bolme, Adrian, ND, and Shelly (Lori) Skramstad, Decatur, IN; step-children, Norma (Donald) Smith, Frazee, MN, Kermit (Linda) Limesand, Luverne, MN, and Leonard (Carolyn) Limesand, Jamestown; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne (Alfred) Ziegelman, Jamestown and Joyce Conley, Miles City, MT; and sisters-in-law, Violet Weber, WA and Beatrice (Richard) Brown, Millarton, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Doris Smith and Beverly Miller. 

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Joel Winckler officiating.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Marion, ND, at a later date.
