With the first night of Class B girls hoops action in the books, it’s time to reveal the preseason’s top 10 poll.

No surprise at the top of the Preseason Girls Basketball Poll as the defending state champs Kindred received 14 of the 18 first place votes.

Right behind Kindred is Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich. Langdon swept the fall sports with state championships in both football and volleyball, and now begins the girls basketball season ranked second.

Kidder County is the only Region 3 team in the top 10. The Wolves made the state tournament last year after beating LaMoure-Litchville/Marion in the Region final.

Other Region 3 teams receiving votes include Carrington, LLM, Linton-HMB and Oakes.
