MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has selected Adriana Torres of Valley City State (N.D.) as its Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week, the seventh edition of the weekly honor was announced Monday by the conference office.

Adriana Torres – Valley City State (N.D.) – 5’10” – Freshman – guard – Pelican Rapids, Minn. – Torres recorded her first career double-double, sparking Valley City State (N.D.) to a 91-78 road victory at Dickinson State (N.D.) in the North Star Athletic Association conference opener.  She shot 53 percent from the field (8-of-15 field goals) for a career-high 22 points.  Torres also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds off the bench.  She was 2-of-6 from the 3-point arc, converted 4-of-6 from the free-throw line and dished out three assists in the game.
