CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals hosted the Squirrels on Thursday night for a boys and girls Class B basketball double header. In the girls game, Hannah Hagel had 17 points to help the Cardinals of Carrington defeat the Squirrels of Central Cass 58-45. RV Carrington improves to 10-2 overall, RV Central Cass drops to 6-4 overall.

In the boys game, CC led by only one point at the end of the first quarter, 13-12, but outscored Carrington 44-22 in the next three quarters to secure the victory. Central Cass improves to 6-3 overall, Carrington drops to 1-9.

Next up for the Carrington girls will be on Thursday night, January 23rd in Carrington against fellow District 5 opponent the Oakes Tornadoes. KDAK and KDDR will have the contest starting about 6:45pm. Next up for the Carrington boys will be at Velva on Friday, January 24th, KDAK will have the coverage starting about 6:45pm.
