Championship: No. 3 Enderlin 56, Maple Valley 43

Enderlin claimed its second Barnes County Tournament title in school history, defeating Maple Valley 56-43 in Monday’s championship game. The Eagles jumped out to a 17-5 lead after the first quarter and led the rest of the way. Maple Valley started the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run to get within 44-37 with about four minutes left, but could get no closer. Enderlin improves to 9-0 overall this season, while Maple Valley drops to 4-5 overall. Joe Hurlburt led the Eagles with 21 points and 16 rebounds, while Gus Hurlburt added 18 points and six rebounds. Alijah Dixson added seven points for Enderlin. Adam Punton led the Raiders with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Carson Hovelson added 11 points and Evan Richman added 10 points for Maple Valley. 

 

3rd Place: Griggs County Central 41, Lamoure/Litchville Marion 34

Griggs County Central fell behind 12-4 early, but finished the first quarter with a 9-0 to take the lead as they went on to defeated LLM in the third-place game, 41-34. Hunter Gronneberg made four 3-pointers and poured in 13 points to lead the Cougars, who improved to 4-6 overall this season. Jonah Ringstad added 11 points and seven steals, and Tanner Haugen chipped in nine points. Rory Gentzkow made six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead the Loboes. Corban Potts added nine points and 14 rebounds. LaMoure is now 4-5 overall this season.

 

5th place: Barnes County North 59  Milnor/North Sargent 37 

BCN had four players in double figures, Max Fehr dropped in 18 and Tanner Soupir added 14, Tristin Roaldson had 12 and Tucker Brown had 11 as the Bison win the consolation championship for the second year in a row. The Bulldogs were led by Mason Bogart with 12 points and seven rebounds. The Bison improve to 5-2 overall, MNS drops to 3-6 overall.

7th place: Sargent Central 55  Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page 46

 Jayden Hajek was four steals shy of a triple double, he had 19 points, 11 rebounds and six steals to help the Cadets win the 7th place game over the Spartans for the third year in a row. Dillon Schreiner led the way for SC Cadets with 20 points, including four 3-pointers. FSHP had three players in double figures, Owen Zerface led the way with 13, Landon Koenig and Tate Zerface had 10 each. SC improves to 1-8 overall, FSHP drops to 0-8 overall.
