VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Works Director Jeff Differding said crews are trying to clear snow from city alleys following recent storms. He said crews will remove snow away from intersections once the alleys are finished.

Meanwhile, city official Dave Andersen is asking residents to exercise caution and patience at intersections with high snow banks until crews can remove the snow. Anderson said residents should not push their snow onto city streets.

Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson is asking residents to clear snow away from fire hydrants on their boulevards in case firefighters have to respond to an emergency.

City crews are using three separate sites to pile or stack snow since winter storms have hit the region.
