JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center (JREC) will be hosting the 3rd Annual Women’s Business Conference on Thursday, March 12th.

“Designed to inspire and connect you with other empowering women, this event will provide you with the resources you are looking for to start, improve, or grow your business,” the JREC states.

“At this conference, you’ll learn from established members of the greater business community in North Dakota, talk to business assistance providers, and network with other women in business.”

One of the event’s keynote speakers will be Dr. Dori Carlson. Dr. Carlson has been a leader in her profession, beginning her own business and ultimately becoming the first female president of the National American Optometric Association (AOA).

Following her time with the AOA, Dr. Carlson stated she became more interested in leadership.

Dr. Carlson expects to graduate from the program at the University of Jamestown this spring.

She stated that she’s developed leadership qualities through her experiences, which will be a portion of her speech.

Dr. Carlson’s topic will be “Developing the CEO Within You” and looking at the difference between working in your business or working on your business.

The Women’s Business Conference will also cover other women-owned business displays, provide educational sessions on a wide range of topics, and offer one-on-one counseling for specific business questions.

Early tickets are available through February 1st for $15. You can learn more at jrecenter.com.
