JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s been a few months since the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office made the call to restrict access to the Jamestown Reservoir this winter due to continued releases.

Sheriff Chad Kaiser says they’ve really had no issues with anyone trying to access the reservoir.

Sheriff Kaiser says it was a difficult decision to make considering all the anglers and outdoor activities held on the reservoirs throughout the winter.

He also encourages everyone to be safe on other open waters in the county.

Sheriff Kaiser says this includes rivers.

If you have any questions on ice access restrictions, you can contact the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office at 701-252-9000.
