JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – While Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoir access remains restricted for the rest of winter, the North Dakota Game & Fish Department encourages anglers to scout for some new places with their updated contour maps.

Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says they’ll always encourage people to get outdoors, but to do so safely.

Several contour lake maps have been updated with greater detail and quality and are now available. These include several area waters such as Kidder County; Lake LaMoure, LaMoure County; Dry Lake, McIntosh County; Crooked Lake, and more.

Leier says they also have grants available for the growing popularity of high school trap shoots.

Leier also says the North Dakota National Archery in the Schools Program state tournament is scheduled for March 20-21 at the State Fair Center in Minot.

You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:35 AM on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM.
