GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Grand Forks Red River ended the first half on a 21-4 run and never looked back on the way to a 62-29 win over Valley City in girls basketball Tuesday night in Grand Forks.

Shelby Frank led a balanced attack for the Roughriders with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jade Azure added 10 points. Claire Leach and Alex Page each scored nine. And Jasmine Sondrol chipped in seven.

Jadyn Dieterle led Valley City with 12 points. Brooke Eggermont added seven and a team high ten rebounds.

Valley City falls to 6-12 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 7-12 overall. Red River improves to 13-5 in the EDC and 13-6 overall.
