BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carson Lamp and Jorn Everson scored all 20 points in overtime, but Lamp’s 12 was enough to help top-seeded Jamestown survive in the opening round of the West Region Tournament. The Jays came away with a 69-65 win to advance to the semifinals on Friday night.

Lamp finished with a team-high 22.

Wil Olson brought Williston back from the brink of defeat with three clutch triples in the final two minutes including the shot with 2.0 left that tied the game at 57 to send it to overtime. The Coyotes stole the inbound down three and Olson pulled up to hit a shot from 28-feet away.

Williston lead most of the game with Jamestown’s first lead coming at 5:41 of the second half. The Jays tried to take control out of halftime after trailing by eight, but after a 6-0 run Williston pushed the lead right back to eight.

Jamestown will play the winner of Mandan and Dickinson at 5:30pm on Friday night.
