VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three young women were selected to represent the North Dakota Winter Show on March 7 in Valley City.

Lindsey Miller, Flaxton, N.D., has been selected as the 2020 Miss North Dakota Winter Show Queen.

Ayla Hovland, Fargo, N.D., was chosen as the 2020 Miss Junior North Dakota Winter Show.

And Maysa Hanna, Berthold, N.D. was crowned as the 2020 Miss North Dakota Winter Show Princess.

Miller, age nineteen, is a 2019 graduate of Kenmare High School. A freshman at Dickinson (N.D.) State University, she is studying agriculture education with a minor in agriculture business. She was on the Dickinson State President’s List in the fall of last year and competes in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and breakaway roping. She also enjoys baking, crafting and thrift store shopping. She is the daughter of Steve and Denise Miller.

Hovland, a resident of Fargo, is fifteen years old and a high school student. She participates in 4-H, hippology, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, high school ministry, and horse shows. She is the daughter of Davy Hovland and Lana Feeley.

Maysa Hanna is a student at Lewis and Clark Elementary School and is twelve years old. She is a county spelling bee qualifier and a four-time math track meet team member. In her spare time, she enjoys playing drums and bass guitar, reading, writing, arts and crafts, rodeos, riding horses, basketball and volleyball. She would like to go to college someday to become a veterinarian or a teacher. She is the daughter of Ryan and Susan Hanna.

The young women will represent the N.D. Winter Show at various rodeos and equine events across the state throughout the year.

The 83rd annual Winter Show wrapped up on March 7. It will be held next year, February 28-March 6, 2021.
