JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the April deadline approaching to have petitions filed, Jamestown Auditor Sarah Hellekson reports there are six petitions out for three open seats.

Seats for Councilmembers Pam Phillips, Dan Buchanan, and Steve Brubakken are up for election this June. Brubakken has stated he doesn’t intend to run for re-election.

Currently, petitions are out by Joshua Meade, Katherine Roth, Brian Kamlitz, Pam Phillips and David Schloegel. Dan Buchanan has already filed his petition as of March 12th.

Each seat is a four-year term.

For the two open seats on the City Park Board, Ron Olson and Mark Ukestad both have petitions out. Olson has filed his petition as of March 16th.

North Dakota’s primary is set for June 9th, 2020.
