JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a high risk registered sex offender that is residing within the city of Jamestown.

47 year-old Leslie James Klamm currently resides at 1610 Business Loop East, RM 2. He is described as an American Indian male, 6 feet tall, and weighing 205 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Klamm was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition in 1998 when an 18 year-old girl woke up to find him standing naked in her bedroom. When she tried to run for the door, Klamm strangled her and stabbed her in the back with a knife. While raping the girl, he asked her how it felt to know she was going to die.

He is currently on probation with  North Dakota Parole and Probation.

Klamm is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
