Update on fatal shooting: Fargo police have announced 2 arrests in connection with this mornings fatal shooting.  Here is the news release from Fargo Police:

UPDATE (4:46 p.m.) Reng Ayong, 21 years old of Fargo, has been arrested for Reckless Endangerment, Possession of a Stolen Automobile, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felony Theft of Property. Darrell Simmons, 28 years old with no permanent address, has been arrested for Criminal Conspiracy. This incident continues to be an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.‪ Mugshots for Ayong and Simmons have been added to this post at this time. 

 

FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Fargo police say those involved in a deadly shooting in north Fargo are being questioned but there have been no arrests.  The shooting happened at around 7:45am on Tuesday, May 12th near Northport Shopping Center. Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots. Police said that one of the people involved was taken to the hospital and was in surgery.

An eyewitness said he saw a car swerve out the Northport parking lot after crashing into several signs. The car was damaged and ended up on the boulevard of a house across the street. The eyewitness said several people inside the car were fighting. Two men then got out of the vehicle after it crashed and walked past his pickup.  Both were carrying pistols.  He called 9-1-1.

The eyewitness says police found one of the men nearby who appeared to have been wounded.  A second man was found several blocks away.
