JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Tommy Falk and Jakob Schemmp combined to hold Bismarck to four hits over 12 innings as Jamestown swept the Senators 9-1 and 11-1 in five innings Monday night at Jack Brown Stadium.

GAME 1 – Jamestown 9, Bismarck 1

Falk did it at the plate and on the mound in game one. At the plate he capped off an eight run fifth inning with a three-run double. He would add an rbi single in the third inning to tie the game at one. Nolan Nenow had two hits and drove in a run for the Eagles. The patient Eagles drew eleven walks in the game.

The offense did most of its damage in the fifth inning when the Eagles platted eight runs. Three bases loaded walks, an rbi single by Gage Orr, two errors and Falk’s double scored the runs.

On the hill, Falk held the Senators to three hits over seven innings with one unearned run. He walked two and struck out eight.

GAME 2 – Jamestown 11, Bismarck 1 F/5

Not to be outdone, Jakob Schemmp held Bismarck to just one hit over five innings of work. He allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out nine. The one hit was a one-out single by Gage Dolajak in the fifth inning.

Chris Erickson and Max Anderson had two hits each for Jamestown. Anderson scored three times and Erickson scored twice. He also had four stole bases. Michael Mahoney also scored twice. Mahoney, Issac Mimong, Preston Kroeber and Gage Orr all had one hit.

Jamestown is now 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the West Region. Wednesday night they host Minot at Jack Brown Stadium for a West Region doubleheader. First pitch is at 5pm.
