Fargo, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Former Fargo Police Deputy Chief Todd Osmundson held a press conference this morning to clarify a Fargo Forum story that was released the previous day profiling his 31 years with the Police Department.  The headline of the story read “Former deputy Chief accuses Fargo police of built-in bias against people of color”.

Osmundson, speaking from his home, said he wanted clarify that he personally admitted to the reporter during a 4 hour interview that he had developed a bias against people of color.  And that he was working on getting rid of that bias.  Osmundson then said he did not accuse anyone else at the police department of being biased against people of color during the interview. He said the story should have focused solely on his bias against people of color.  He also took the time to apologize to Black Live Matter, the community, and his former co-workers at the Police Department.
