FARGO, N.D. (CCEC) – Cass County Electric Cooperative, a member of the Rural Development Finance Corporation, a nonprofit finance and development entity. RDFC makes these funds available to increase awareness of their more extensive loan program that funds community-based projects and nonprofit entities with low-interest loans.

Communities in Cass County Electric Cooperative’s service area are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $2,000 for community-based projects. Cass County Electric Cooperative encourages economic diversification and community vitality through participation in the program and the generation of funding that supports sustainable asset building.

Cass County Electric Cooperative has recently granted $2,000 to Barnes County Wildlife Foundation (BCWF) to go towards the construction of a new picnic shelter at Moon Lake. BCWF is an organization devoted to promoting and preserving outdoor opportunities for the people of Barnes County. Through habitat programs, access projects, and beneficial additions throughout the county, BCWF helps thousands of people each year get more enjoyment out of hunting, fishing, camping, and other recreational activities.
