JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The pandemic has forced the Running of the Pink to adapt to a virtual race in 2020.

Held annually for the past 12 years, the run will be entirely virtual this year. This will allow runners and walkers to participate in the event at their own pace.

Tara Kapp with RM Stoudt says they’ve had more than 200 register and will continue taking registrations through Saturday morning.

Kapp stated that they’re appreciative of the support so far, adding that they would be happy with any turnout to add to their fundraising cause.

For 12 years, the race has raised more than $150,000 for breast and cervical cancer needs.

100% of the proceeds are donated to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and Women’s Way through Central Valley Health. These funds eliminate barriers that may otherwise prevent someone from receiving the care they need.

Those who participate in the run are encouraged to post photos of themselves with the tag #VirtualROP to celebrate. Cost to register is $25 for adults, $20 for youth 12 & Under, and $20 for Seniors. All paid registrants will receive a T-shirt.

To register, visit stoudtcars.com or call 701-252-2270 for more information.
