A bustling farmers market for Jamestown in 2019

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Farmers Market is well underway this summer.

The market, which is held each Wednesday from 5 PM to 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to Noon, brings local producers and their products to the community.

Kristi Wirrenga is part of the market, and brings a different meat selection each year. She says they are prepared to put on the farmers market and will adjust as needed for COVID-19.

Wirrenga added that all of the vendors take great pride in their products, which are all sourced, grown, and produced locally.

Another highlight of the market this year is the use of SNAP benefits, which Wirrenga says was introduced late last year. She says this is also boosted by a beneficiary.

People are encouraged to visit the market each day as products provided change as the season continues. The Jamestown Farmers Market expects to be held through the end of October, seasonal conditions permitting.
