Update:  Gov. Doug Burgum issued a correction for today’s total of positive tests in North Dakota.  It was originally reported to be 160 new cases of Covid-19.  But Gov. Burgum said there was an issue at the lab and that some of the positive cases from Monday were instead included on Tuesdays report.  Burgum said over the 2 days there were 242 new positive cases out of about 8,000 tests.

Fargo, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Health released information today for the past 24 hours of testing for Covid – 19 and it showed a big jump in new cases.

The NDDOH says there were 160 new cases of Covid in the state.  Which is by far the highest one day total we have seen since the pandemic began.  We also set new high marks for total of active Covid – 19 cases at 864 and residents currently hospitalized at 52.

There were also 2 additional deaths reported today from Covid – 19.  A Burleigh County man in his 70s and Cass County woman in her 90s.  Both reportedly had underlying health conditions.
