Four different batters, Austin Glarum, Colton Sorenson, Carson Bartholomay and Andrew Mickelson each had one hit.

GAME #3: Oakes 11, F/H/L 9

A five run 7th inning made it a closer affair than Oakes would have been comfortable with, but the 2 seed Oakes prevailed 11-9 in the third game of the day.

The scoring began early. Oakes starter Brady McKenna sent the F/H/L lineup down 1-2-3 in the opening frame, and the Oakes lineup produced two early runs. It was Alex Nelson driving in those runs, and wound up with 4 RBI for the game.

Scoring continued consistently through the game for Oakes and led 11-4 headed to the final inning. F/H/L had four straight batters reach highlighted by a two-run double off the bat of Cruz Hernandez. With the tying run at the plate, Broden Frolek grounded out to end the game.

McKenna got the win for Oakes while Garret Meehl notched a one out save.

Potts and Bierman went a combined 3-4 with four walks, three RBI’s and four runs scored in the middle of the LaMoure lineup, but it was lead off hitter Alex Klever who gave LaMoure the ten run victory.
