SANBORN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The $1.5 million dollar Hobart Lake road raise is nearly complete.

Barnes County Highway Road Superintendent Kerry Johnson said the 90/10 cost share ratio of this project comes from a federal safety emergency fund.

He said this is the fourth time that the Hobart Lake road has had to be raised due to high water since the 1990’s.

Johnson said at another location, the contractor is trying to wrap up the repair work on a culvert that was washed out earlier this summer northwest of Valley City on Country Road 19. We will post that update on Thursday, September 3rd.

The full interview with Johnson is attached below.
