Kevin Loibl, age 56, of Rogers, ND, died Saturday, September 26th at Mercy Hospital in Valley City.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 3rd at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and one hour before the service on Saturday morning all at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the church.  Due to COVID 19, ND State Health Department regulations will be followed and masks will be required.  Interment will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Fingal, ND

Kevin was born in Fargo, ND on September 8, 1964 to Jerome and Gertrude (Koller) Loibl.  He attended school at Fingal Elementary and graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1982.

His love of the outdoors started at a young age, with hunting and fishing.  Kevin spent most of the time outdoors, shooting gophers, birds and deer.  He also enjoyed competing in fishing tournaments along with his son.  The latest accomplishment was his taxidermy, which in enjoyed and displayed in many homes.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  One of the proudest days in his life was the day his grandson, Collin, was born.  He was happiest when he was with his “little buddy.”

He was employed by Anderson Construction and Northern Improvement before beginning his long career at ADM, otherwise known as the Sunflower Plant.  Kevin was a part of the Enderlin/Sheldon Wildlife Club, the Quick Response Unit of Fingal, the Rope Rescue of Enderlin, and a former member of the North Dakota Coon Hunters Association.  He was always willing to help anyone, regardless of who it was.

Kevin married Cindy Skramstad on May 25, 1984.  They lived in Fingal, Nome and recently to the home they built together near Rogers.

He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Gertrude of Fingal; wife, Cindy of Rogers; son, Rusty of Fingal; daughter, Lindsey of Valley City; grandson, Collin of Valley City; sister, Marietta (Lyle) Behm of Fingal; in-laws, Lori (Shelly) Skramstad, Elaine (David) Friestad, Brenda Skramstad, Rory Skramstad; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thorvald and JoAnne Skramstad and grandparents, Mary and Frank Loibl and Mary and Michael Koller. Funeral arrangements by the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home.
