Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–Simon Romfo ran for 146 yards and 4 touchdowns as the top rated Langdon Cardinals defeated the Carrington Cardinals 30-0 at Stadium ’76 in Carrington’s 2020 homecoming game. Romfo, the senior quarterback, scored on  a 4 yard run in the first quarter, a 2 yard run in the second quarter, a 1 yard QB sneak in the third quarter, and a 27 yard score in the final quarter to cap off an impressive night. Romfo added 150 passing yards as well, connecting on 10 of 21 attempts. Twin brother Grant Romfo added 96 rushing yards on 11 carries and caught 7 passes for 111 yards to aid the Langdon offense. Langdon finished the game with 403 total yards of offense.

Carrington kept things close with the 2 time defending state champs, trailing 15-0 at halftime. Langdon  clamped down defensively in the second half, allowing just 5 yards to Carrington and holding the hometown Cardinals to 95 total yards of offense. Lucas Hendrickson paced the Carrington offense with 61 rushing yards on 12 attempts. The first half running success disappeared in the second half as Langdon took control of the contest. Langdon improved to 8-0 overall and Carrington dropped to 4-4. Carrington will wrap up the regular season next Friday night at Park River with a 7:00 P.M. kickoff.
