NEW SALEM, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two Bellevue, WA individuals were seriously injured in a crash east of New Salem Monday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that driver Ashton Anderson, 19, and passenger Conner Anderson, 18, were traveling eastbound on I-94 when the driver lost control on the ice. The vehicle spun counterclockwise, entering the median while facing northwest.

The passenger side tires caught on the median shoulder, causing the vehicle to overturn. The Ford F250 overturned and crossed into the westbound lane. The vehicle came to rest on its top facing west along the north shoulder of the westbound lane.

Both individuals were transported to Sanford Hospital by New Salem Ambulance.
