VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Parade of Lights set for Thursday, December 3rd in downtown Valley City has been cancelled due to the pandemic.

Valley City Area Chamber spokeswoman Tracey Compson said, “it is with heavy hearts that we have to announce there will not be a Parade of Lights this year.”

She said the committee to assess large group requests, established by the Valley City Commission on November 6th, denied our request to hold the parade due to rising COVID-19 cases in Barnes County.
