candyman

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – What started out as a trend on the TikTok app is turning into a business opportunity for one Jamestown teen.

13 year-old Max Elhard created a TikTok account called Candyman Candy, featuring different candies from all over, which quickly went viral.

Now, Max sells and delivers candy from the basement of his home. He would also ship out orders from there. The idea then began to form of creating a unique candy store that featured items you couldn’t normally find in a gas station or grocery store.

Elhard says they’ve been inundated with messages on their selection and opening date. He says they’re hoping to open in January 2021.

Because he’s 13, his family has helped him a lot with the growth of his candy sales and ultimately leasing a building for his Candyman Candy store.

He says his sales have been everywhere in the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii, even crossing international borders.

He says he plans to continue online sales once his store is open in 2021.
