CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Foster County Public Health District (FCPHD) is encouraging the public to increase their awareness of opioids and reinforce that help is available for those sufferings with addiction.

Prevention Coordinator Jen Whitman says the slogan for this current campaign is “Fill with Awareness.”

Whitman says they have three vital steps when it comes to opioids as they raise awareness.

Drug takeback locations include Carrington Drug, Central Pharmacy, and the Carrington Police Department. Whitman says they also have bags that deactivate the drugs inside prescriptions pills and patches.

These bags are free and available to the public from Foster County Public Health.
