WAHPETON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City used a big first half and Peyton Pederson scored a career high 25 as Valley City picked up its fifth win in the last seven with a 77-55 decsion over Wahpeton.

The Hi-Liners lead 40-25 at halftime and never looked back picking up and important conference win.

Pederson added five steals to the 25 points. Jadyn Dieterle added 17 points, four assists and seven rebounds. Brooke Eggermont chipped in 15 points and a team high eight rebounds.

Scout Woods led the Huskies with 14 points and six rebounds. McKena Koolmo added 13 points.

Valley City is now 6-11 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and in seventh place. Overall the Hi-Liners are 8-9. The Huskies fall to 3-15 in the conference ad 3-16 overall.

The Hi-Liners travel to Fargo North on Thursday and West Fargo Sheyenne next Tuesday before finishing up at home with West Fargo on February 25th.
