FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After day 1 of the State Wrestling Tournament, Jamestown has 10 wrestlers moving on to day two and six in to the semifinals. As a team, the Blue Jays have 106.0 team points and currently sit in fifth place. Bismarck leads the team standings with 150.5 points.

Here is how the Blue Jay wrestlers fared:

At 106: Lucas Schlepuetz goes 0-2. His tournament is done. Finishes season with an 8-9 record.

At 113: Pete Rasmussen goes 1-1. Lost to Valley City’s Logan Novara 10-4 in the quarterfinals. Will wrestle Kadin Beneke of Mandan in the fourth round of the wrestler backs.

At 120: Sam Schepuetz 1-1. Lost to teammate Grady Anderson 7-0 in the quarterfinals. Will wrestle Evan Fleck of Mandan in the fourth round of the wrestle backs. Anderson is 2-0 and will face Izaak Boekelman of Watford City in the semifinals.

At 126: Aden Braun goes 2-0 and will wrestle Ethan Miller of Valley City in the semifinals.

At 132: Joel Bowman goes 2-0 and will wrestle Reece Barnhardt of Bismarck St. Mary’s in the semifinals.

At 138: Eric Chea goes 0-2. His season ends with a 3-10 record.

At 145: Isasa Rostenbach goes 0-2. His season is over with a 0-5 record.

At 152: Adyn Eckhart and Josiah Reimers go 0-2. Eckhart ends the season with a 0-6 mark and Reimers finishes 2-11.

At 160: Colton Mewes goes 2-0. He will face Draken Stugelmeyer in the semifinals.

At 170: Jackson Walters is 3-0. He will face Ben Nagel of Bismarck in the semifinals.

At 182:  Preston Gall goes 1-2. His season ends with a 9-7 mark.

At 195: Dalton Darby is 1-1 and will wrestle Rylen Reid from Fargo Davies in the fourth round of the wrestle backs. Dareeyn Davis went 0-2 and his season ends with a 0-7 record.

At 220: Austin Kessler is 2-1. He lost to Carson McGough of Valley City by fall with no time left on the third period clock. He will face Isaiah Kwandt of Bismarck Century in the fourth round of the wrestle backs.

At 285: Damien Krebs is 2-0 and will meet KC Ortiz in the semifinals. Ortiz defeated Krebs last season in the consolation round to end Damien’s season.
