BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Bismarck Police Officer is being charged after failing to yield for a pedestrian Wednesday night.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports Officer Collin Schlect was responding to a call that had been broadcast over the radio. He turned into a parking lot and exited, striking 44 year-old Marlo Hunt-Beaubrun of Bismarck. She was transported to Sanford Medical Center by Metro Area Ambulance for Minor injuries.

Officer Schlect was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The crash remains under investigation.
