VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Police are investigating a shooting in Valley City. Police Chief Phil Hatcher said officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 11th Avenue SW in Valley City just after 7pm Thursday, February 25th.
Hatcher said, “officers assisted in securing the area and providing medical assistance to a male that had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.”
The shooting victim was transported to a hospital in Fargo. His condition has not been released. The shooting suspect is in custody. Hatcher said the shooting remains under investigation. More details will be released later.
