BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liner track & field team was in action at the state track meet in Bismarck over the weekend.

Senior Peyton Zaun finished third in the high jump with a height of 6-feet-4-inches. Zaun also competed in the long jump and triple jump finishing 22nd and 13th, respectively. Senior Jared Eggermont placed sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.20 seconds.

On the girls’ side, Freshman Reagan Berg finished 10th in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:56.77 seconds. She also competed in the 1600-meter race and the 800-meter race finishing 12th and 18th, respectively. Senior Olivia Olson finished tied for ninth in the Pole Vault with a height of 8-feet-9-inches. Sophomore Karina Olson finished 23rd in the long jump, and senior Jocey Kriewalk finished 17th in the triple jump.

The boys’ team finished tied for 16th with nine points and the girls’ team did not receive any points.

Two former Hi-Liners received Coach of the Year honors. Rory Beil, head coach of the Fargo Davies girls’ track & field team received the honor of Coach of the Year in Class A and Jordan Aus, head coach of the West Fargo Sheyenne boys’ track & field team, received Coach of the Year honors in Class A.
