(NAFB) – A key ethanol group argues, electric vehicles are ‘dirty’ compared with those that run on corn ethanol blends, defying a Biden Administration claim, electric is the way to slow climate change.

Renewable Fuels Association chief Geoff Cooper says electric vehicles, less than one percent of today’s fleet, are indirect polluters.

Namely, burning fossil fuels.

Cooper argues ethanol blends for automotive and aviation use can even be made carbon-neutral.

President Biden wants all-electric vehicle sales by 2030 or ’35 and millions of charging stations, while the Energy Department’s statistics branch says by 2050, four out of five vehicles will still use liquid fuel.
