JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown School Board discussed on Monday evening the potential for installing lights at Trapper Field.

Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech said Joan Morris has worked diligently to raise funds for lights to be installed at Trapper Field, providing the opportunity for games to be played later in the evening.

Further discussions will take place at the board meeting on July 19th, and a formal request of $20,000 for the approximately $200,000 project.

The team GPAs for the 2020-2021 season for Jamestown High School was also passed along by Jamestown High School Athletic Director Jim Roaldson, signaling another successful year in the classroom for the Blue Jays.

The total GPA across all sports for Jamestown was 3.559 with Blue Jay Volleyball leading the way with a 3.849. Boys basketball had the top mark in winter sports at 3.704, and in the spring boys golf and softball each had a GPA of 3.727.
