A Stutsman County Sheriff’s Deputy shows talks to a family during the 2018 National Night Out in Jamestown.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office have once again teamed up to host a local National Night Out event on August 3rd.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Chief Edinger says they see support from vendors and businesses for the event, making it a community celebration for all to attend.

Local agencies including officers, deputies, EMT’s, firefighters, and more will all come together for free activities, food, games, music, and more.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says they welcome the chance to show the public their equipment during the event too.

Through this, Sheriff Kaiser says it shows the public what equipment and vehicles they use in the case of emergencies and response in the city and county.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments will be provided until they run out. The event will run from 6 PM to 9 PM at McElroy Park in Jamestown.
