Oakes defeated Langdon 4-3 in eight innings in the first game of the day. Both teams went back and forth in this one making for an exciting duel. Langdon got the scoring started in the top of the second with an RBI double from designated hitter Mason Romfo to take a 1-0 lead. Oakes’ first baseman Jaidy Gebhardt retaliated with an RBI double of his own in the bottom of the inning to tie it 1-1. In the fourth, Langdon resumed the scoring with right-fielder Tucker Welsh scoring from third on a passed ball, but again Oakes scored in the bottom half with an RBI single from second baseman Conor Schall tying the game 2-2. In the fifth, again, one run for each team. Langdon got an RBI single from third baseman Jack Romfo and Oakes’ designated hitter Gavin Christiansen brought in a run on a sac fly to shallow right field. After a scoreless sixth and seventh, Oakes was able to walk the game off with an RBI single from shortstop Garret Meehl. Oakes survived to play LaMoure in the championship game at 4:00 p.m.

LaMoure jumped on Oakes early once again with seven runs in the first inning and went in cruise control from there. Shortstop Corban Potts got an RBI single to start followed by a two-RBI single from third baseman Anthony Hansen, an RBI single from second baseman Conner Johnson and a two-RBI single from designated hitter Tate Mart. They added a run in the third inning with an RBI double from Mart and Oakes would get their loan run on a wild pitch that brought home third baseman Brady McKenna. Anthony Hansen won the tournament MVP award going 6-11 in their four tournament games with six RBI. He also pitched a complete game-shutout against Velva in the quarterfinals. In the championship game, Hansen went 1-4 with two RBI and a run. Mart went 2-4 with three RBI and a run and Potts finished the day 2-4 with a run and an RBI. LaMoure starting pitcher Rory Gentzkow pitched a complete game and only allowed one run, three hits and three walks while striking out eight batters.

LaMoure finished the season with a record of 20-1. As for Oakes, they only had one loss to non-LaMoure teams this season. They finish the year with a final record of 15-7.
