SIOUX CITY, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – University of Jamestown women’s soccer midfielder Cassandra Diaz and women’s volleyball middle blocker Jayla Ritter each earned GPAC Player of the Week Honors on Tuesday as announced by the conference.

Diaz, who has now won the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season, scored three goals this past week in two victories for the Jimmies. Diaz has helped lead the Jimmies soccer program to the best start in history at 12-0 on the year and 7-0 in the GPAC. Jamestown’s only match this week is Wednesday night on the road against Mount Marty.

For Ritter, this is her first time winning the GPAC Attacker of the Week honor after earning GPAC Defender of the Week recognition two weeks ago.
