VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City firefighters responded to a call of smoke coming from the attic of a residence after the reporting party stated that a fuse blew about 1:14am Monday, October 25th.

The party went down to reset the fuse and about 10 minutes later noticed what he thought was a burn spot developing in the wall and called 9-1-1.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said crews arrived on scene and noticed smoke coming from an attic window at 467 6th Street S.W. He said firefighters went inside and found the burn and extinguished the fire. They opened a wall and found a burned off wire which we believed caused the fire.

No injuries were reported.
