Jamestown Tourism unveiled their first calendar publication in 2021 and look to expand it into 2022.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As 2021 continues to wind down, Jamestown Tourism isn’t stopping as they look to 2022 and what they can do to promote the area.

Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund says they’ve been happy with how 2021 turned out for them.

Swedlund says now, they shift focus to 2022 with a variety of projects currently underway to help them “tell the story of Jamestown.” He added they can dip into their successes of 2021 and utilize them for 2022.

Another project that saw it’s first year was the community calendar. Over 5,000 calendars were distributed around the community for 2021 that feature photos, community information, and unique facts about Jamestown.

Swedlund says they’ll look to increase the publication numbers for the calendar and as they put it together for the 2022 year, they’re asking for your help to find unique stories or “Did You Know” facts about Jamestown.

If you have a tidbit you’d like to submit, you can contact Searle Swedlund or Jamestown Tourism at discoverjamestownnd.com or call 701-251-9145.

Swedlund says they have also approved grants for different agencies and encourages anyone making plans for Halloween to check the Jamestown Calendar online to make plans for future events.
