JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center recently welcomed Anna Jacobson as their newest staff member.

Jacobson fills the role of Director of Education and Exhibition after two previous staff members tendered their resignation.

A native to North Dakota, Jacobson says she’s glad to find herself back in the state doing what she loves.

Jacobson says she has worked with the Jamestown Arts Center before through her art.

After the former gallery manager and education coordinator stepped away from their roles in September, the door opened for Jacobson to step into a hybrid position at the center. She says she’ll handle the exhibits, Arts After School, and classes at the Jamestown Arts Center.

She added with her previous experience teaching, she’ll also be teaching a few classes at some point. Jacobson has also taught workshops all over the state and through the Art for Life program. She is also a professional framer of fine art work.

Anna received her BA in studio arts from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and her Master in Fine Arts degree from the University of North Dakota.

Jacobson says she looks forward to serving in this role and expanding the arts in the region while also growing her own artwork portfolio.

You can find Jacobson at the Jamestown Arts Center by visiting them at jamestownarts.com, stopping at 115 2nd Street SW, or calling 701-251-2496.
