GWINNER, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2021 boy’s basketball season kicked off on Monday night for LaMoure-Litchville/Marion as the Loboes took down Sargent County 64-49.

LLM capitalized on its opportunities at the free throw line, going 21-25 from the charity stripe. Landon Piehl led the Loboes with 14 points, completing six of his eight free throws on the night. Piehl, a senior, helped LaMoure shoot 41% from the field as a team. Carter Bowman, Max Musland, and Corban Potts all ended in double-figures, all putting up 11 points. Potts was the leading rebounder, snagging eight boards and collecting four assists.

The Loboes, now 1-0 on the year, will travel to Wyndmere/Lidgerwood on Saturday at 1:30 PM. LaMoure opens up its home season on December 21st when they host Lisbon at 7:30 PM.
