JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) Board of Directors has approved their next round of Internships Reimbursement Program Applications.

In 2021, the JSDC formed the program to assist employers with providing paid internship opportunities and with it, retention and possible future employment in Jamestown and Stutsman County. The program could contribute upwards of $3,500 to reimburse employers that hire University and College students to assist with payroll costs.

JSDC Business Development Director Corry Shevlin says they had a very successful first year.

On Monday, the board moved to approve three more applications for the intern program while also allocating more funding into the program.

Shevlin encouraged anyone who meets the criteria of the Intern program to consider submitting an application for the next process.

In other JSDC Board of Directors information, the board moved to accept CEO Connie Ova’s retirement and resignation from her post. Shevlin says the next steps for the hiring process were outlined.

Ova’s final day will be May 13th, 2022.
